Confirmed! Disha Patani to romance Tiger Shroff in Student of the Year 2

MS Dhoni star Disha Patani is all set to replace Sara Ali Khan in Karan Johar’s Student of the Year sequel that stars her rumoured boyfriend Tiger Shroff.

It was earlier reported that Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara would make her Bollywood debut with filmmaker Karan Johar’s sequel to Student of the Year. But now media reports claim MS Dhoni actor Disha Patani has been finalised for the upcoming film.

Looks like Disha Patani is set for her next biggie with rumoured boyfriend Tiger Shroff.

Karan has already locked Tiger Shroff for the film and Aaj Tak reported on Saturday that the actor’s rumoured girlfriend Disha has been finalised for Student of The Year 2.

Interestingly, while Sara’s mother Amrita Singh had expressed her desire for KJo to launch her daughter, dad Saif is against the idea. Saif’s current wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, too wants Sara to make her Bollywood debut with Karan.

Hindustan Times could not independently verify the report.

KJo’s 2012 hit directorial gave the film industry three young stars — Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. “The first SOTY film was a love triangle set in a college campus, but the second won’t have another leading man. It’s a solo-hero film. Karan has always been a Jackie Shroff fan. Working with his son is something he wanted to do from the time Tiger was ready to make his debut,” a source had earlier told Hindustan Times.
