Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh’s Padmavati to be released in 3D?

The film will see Deepika Padukone in the titular role while Shahid Kapoor will be seen as Rana Ratan Singh. Ranveer Singh will play Allauddin Khilji in the film.

The makers of Padmavati are impressed with the reception their trailer and the first song have got. Now, they are planning to present Padmavati in 3D as well, according to reports.

Mid-Day has quoted a source close to the film saying, “The executives were excited after watching the trailer. They told producers Viacom 18 that the film must be seen in 3D for viewers to enjoy the filmmaker’s vision. Bhansali was on board too.”

Actually, the film’s international presenter Paramount has a lot to do with it. Paramount, that is going to distribute the film in more than 90 countries, is interested in adding more to the grandeur of Padmavati. 3D is a part of that strategy.

Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film relies heavily on the grand sets and lavish production design in order to give the audiences a ‘feel’ of the period drama. As per reports, he has spent Rs 155 crore on Padmavati.

Scheduled to hit the screens on December 1, Padmavati has created a good buzz on social media. If everything goes right then it may open big at the box office.
