Dulquer Salmaan’s debut Bollywood film Karwaan also stars actor Mithila Palkar and Irrfan Khan in lead roles. The latest buzz is that the film is set to release on June 1. The lighthearted comedy will also mark the debut of promising Marathi actor Mithila in Bollywood. She is popular for her web series Girl In The City and Little Things.

In Karwaan, Dulquer is expected to play the role of a Bangalorean, and the shooting for the film took place in Ooty and Kochi predominantly. It is speculated that this is a travel film, which revolves around two strangers who meet in the course of this trip.

Mithila has been posting fun pictures from the sets of the film, and it gives us a peak into Dulquer and Irrfan’s characters. While Dulquer seems to be a serious, straightforward man; Irrfan’s outfits is more fit for a carefree sort of person on a trip.

Amala Akkineni is also part of this project, which was revealed when Mithila posted this!

Mithila, in fact, introduced us to the crew of the film in a series of Instagram posts #HumansofKarwaan. Speaking about Dulquer and Irrfan, Mithila said, “These two are amazing. Being the superstars that they are, they are the easiest to work with. I learnt to be so attentive on this set because there was always so much to learn. There have been times when I had to remind myself that I’m not part of the scene as an audience. They are incredibly talented, incredibly gifted. I cannot stress on this enough, but it’s been an absolutely enriching experience working with both of them. And of course the chronicles of Binaca Geetmala and Jukebox shall continue now that they’ve both made peace with my monkeying around.”

She added, “There is still so much to say but hopefully I’ll be able to articulate my thoughts better when I’m slightly less overwhelmed.I posted a picture on our first day on set and here’s a picture from the last.”

As we reach closer to the end of this film schedule, I'm beginning to sulk. Already. A few pictures with a lot of emotional rants will follow as the withdrawals start kicking in. Here's the first one - These two are amazing. Being the superstars that they are, they are the easiest to work with. I learnt to be so attentive on this set because there was always so much to learn. There have been times when I had to remind myself that I'm not part of the scene as an audience. They are incredibly talented, incredibly gifted. I cannot stress on this enough, but it's been an absolutely enriching experience working with both of them. And of course the chronicles of Binaca Geetmala and Jukebox shall continue now that they've both made peace with my monkeying around. There is still so much to say but hopefully I'll be able to articulate my thoughts better when I'm slightly less overwhelmed. I posted a picture on our first day on set and here's a picture from the last 😊 #Karwaan #HumansofKarwaan

Post #8 Dedicated to the magic man of Karwaan - our DoP! If we've managed to look even half decent in the frames, it's all this man's doing. There were times when we'd see a picture clicked by him from our locations and wonder how we never saw the same thing the way he did. But then, that's why we aren't cinematographers and cannot make everything look like a painting. You sufi soul and fellow singer, I know what a troublemaker I was for you. I used to enjoy seeing you hide behind your camera everytime you heard me from afar! But you are amazing. Thank you for being patient 😊 P.S.: I'm looking forward to doing more work with you so we have ONE picture together atleast. For now, I'll make do with this one. P.P.S: We must also make that long pending video of us singing together! #Karwaan #HumansofKarwaan
