Rave reviews not withstanding, Sharat Katariya's directorial debut Dum Laga Ke Haisha opened to poor collections on Friday with just Rs 1.11 crore.
However, the movie, that features debutant Bhumi Pednekar and Ayushmann Khuranna in lead roles, doubled up the earnings on Saturday, making Rs 2.09 crore on day two of the release.
Produced by Yash Raj Films, Dum Laga Ke Haisha has received rave reviews. The film is likely to build garner higher collections over the weekend.
Meanwhile, Nana Patekar's sequel to the 2004 hit Ab Tak Chhappan, too scored low on the ticket windows, earning mere Rs 1.25 crore on day one.
