“Physique is always an important factor because a brawny image comes to mind first when they are mentioned. We have conducted auditions in Mumbai and will soon be in Delhi for two days,” says Muazzam Beg, who conceptualised and is directing this docu-drama. In the past, Muazzam wrote the script for Rockstar (2011) and wrote and directed Sadda Adda (2011).

The makers are looking for fresh faces and after wrapping up the Delhi auditions, will visit Chandigarh as well. “Apart from the two leading men, we are also looking for two girls- one to play the lead opposite Salman while the other will play a Facebook fan of the actor’s,” says Muazzam, whose last stop for auditions is Pune.

Once they are done with the four-city auditions, all the shortlisted actors will be called to Mumbai for the next round. “We have some plans for the shortlisted actors before we zero in on the final protagonists. We are still in the planning stage and will be able to talk only once we lock our plans,” he says.

The film intends to show Salman and Sanjay’s journey — both personal and professional. To be made on a tight budget, Muazzam will start the film in mid-July and release it in December.
