It’s that day of the year when friends celebrate their bond and take a vow to remain partners in crime. On this Friendship day, celebrities talk about how they’d love to get their dear pals back.

They met in school, college, or while they were struggling, giving auditions together. Somewhere down the line, they lost touch and haven’t been able to revive that bond. On Friendship Day today, actors get nostalgic and share more about their long-lost buddies.

I must have been in 6th standard in school when I had this friend called Amit Wadhera. We were really close but then, he changed his school. I tried to look him up on social networking sites but could never find him. I vividly remember we would finish our lunch together before the recess and would play football while rest of our classmates played cricket.

I had a classmate named Satish while I was studying in my village high school, DPH Madhavpur. I tried very hard to trace him, to find his phone number, but couldn’t. The other friend is Bhanu Uday Goswami from National School of Drama and it’s unfortunate that we both live in Mumbai but we don’t get time to talk.

There was a really sweet boy in boarding school; I met him when I was 13-years-old. Both of us were considered odd, and so we were bullied in school and that brought us together. We sat together in class and hung out in the boarding house common room after school hours. I definitely miss talking to him for hours at stretch. We drifted apart after boarding school, but even today, I can just pick up the phone, call him and it’ll be like absolutely no time has passed.

Arjun Bijlani

My closest friend from college is Vedant — a doctor, now settled in America. I miss spending time with him. Together, we were like a house on fire; we used to spend great fun time in those carefree days. We used to eat together and go for drives. I wish he was living in Mumbai. I have become so busy with my career that my friendship time is missing.

Ssharad Malhotraa

I miss my friend Rahul Raichand from Kolkata, who shifted abroad and is a Chartered Accountant now. We had a blast in college and had some crazy times. Once we went on double date and it was so much fun. I have lost touch with him. I tried hunting him on Facebook too, but couldn’t find him.

Adaa Khan

I miss Ophear; he was dear friend. He had a crazy sense of humour and used to make me laugh with his jokes. He was very talkative and used to talk on any and every topic all the time. Those were the days of no mobile phones so it was a different era only.

Debina Bonnerjee

I remember two of my friends — Kiku from nursery days. We were very notorious. I remember doing all terror things with her — put soap water in the bathroom and skate, hang in the cupboard and naughty things which kids normally do. Then, she got married after class 12th and moved to Australia. Another friend is Mimi from my college. We bonded almost instantly. I used to demand love and attention from her. We knew each other in and out. But then, I shifted to Bangalore and then came to Mumbai.

Hina Khan

I graduated from Delhi University. I had this really close friend Surya Pratap Singh. We were almost inseparable in college. I generally take my own sweet time, but we instantly connected. He knew me too well and we were always up to something and had each other’s back. He has now moved to Canada. I wish we could stay in contact more.
