Good collection of Fukrey Returns affirms the notion that Indian audience is going for comedy as the year comes to a close. After Judwaa 2 and Golmaal Returns, Fukrey Returns is one of the few films that have managed to register profit at the ticket windows.
The films managed to set the cash registers ringing despite most reviewers panning them. Fukrey’s sequel also gained from the fact that it has been a lean phase with Padmavati being postponed after protests.
Fukrey Returns hit theatres on December 8, Friday and features Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Varun Sharma, Priya Anand, Richa Chadha, Vishakha Singh and Pankaj Tripathi in lead roles. Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, Fukrey Returns has been co-produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sindhwani under their banner Excel Entertainment.
The success of Fukrey Returns is a good news for Tiger Zinda Hai as well, because a good mood at the box office can ensure a good opening for the next film.
