Housefull 2 bitten by cricket bug

Sajid Nadiadwala has decided to release the sequel to the comic caper Housefull 2 right after the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The nation’s most loved sport – cricket has always been a lucky charm for the Housefull franchise and so producer Sajid Nadiadwala has decided to release the sequel to the comic caper Housefull 2 right after the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Box office reports show that Housefull opened to packed houses and became one of the biggest hits of 2010, following its association with the ICC World Twenty20. Says a source, "Nadiadwala’s previous films like Mujhse Shaadi Karoge and Heyy Babyy were also associated with the ICC World Twenty20. Keeping with that tradition, this time around, Housefull 2 had its teaser promo out during the ICC World Cup season and the film is scheduled to release on the first Friday post the IPL 2012. Everyone on board is working around the clock to make sure that happens."

The sequel to the comic riot will star Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Asin, Zarine Khan, Shazahn Padamsee, Shreyas Talpade, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez and Mithun Chakraborty.
