Roughly three decades ago, Jackie Shroff kicked off his acting career with the first hit of his life, Subhash Ghai’s film, Hero (1983). Soon, his son will make his Bollywood debut.
On April 8, it was revealed that Tiger Shroff will make his official entry into the film industry on Valentine’s Day, (February 14) next year, with the release of the Sajid Nadiadwala production, Heropanti.
Looking back, the proud father and veteran star says he is overwhelmed. “I just can’t explain the feeling. It’s an emotional moment for me. When your kid grows up and starts working… I can’t put my feelings into words,” he says.
“All thanks to the almighty, Tiger is entering the industry while I am still active. This feeling is beyond any other, and it stands true for all fathers.” The actor adds, “Despite a gap of three decades, our mindsets and our professions remain the same.”
Ask him if he or his wife Ayesha ever visit Tiger on the sets of his film and he says, “I don’t think I should interfere, even though my mind is always there with him.” Sajid Nadiadwala is as excited as Jackie.
“He (Tiger) is the first star son that we are launching with our production house. I remember how Jackie used to ask me to teach a two-year-old Tiger how to play football. This entire journey has been an emotional one too,” says Sajid.
