I’m not flooded with offers after Pink: Kirti Kulhari

Pink actor Kirti Kulhari talks about the appreciation that she is receiving for her role in the film but reveals that she isn’t “flooded” with too many offers.

I think I have shocked people with what I am capable of,” says a confident Kirti Kulhari, who is receiving accolades for her new film — a courtroom drama that also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. The actor, who has films such as Shaitan (2011) and the recently released San’75 Pachattar to her credit, says though she has been part of the entertainment industry for almost 14 years now, she didn’t get too many opportunities to showcase her talent.

Kirti Kulhari was recently seen in Pink, that also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu.

But now, several industry members are appreciating her performance.

Kirti tells us about her conversation with Vidya Balan. “Vidya is somebody I look up to. I have known her for the past many years, but we haven’t kept in touch. Last year, I met her at a film festival, and we exchanged numbers. I had invited her for the screening of my movie, but she couldn’t make it. But once she saw the film, she immediately called me up to congratulate me, and even made me speak to her husband Siddharth Roy Kapur.” Recently, Kirti shot for an ad film, directed by Pradeep Sircar. But as far as film offers are concerned, the actor reveals that she isn’t “flooded” with them. “I am glad about that. But yes, there are a few offers coming my way, which I am considering,” she adds.

Ask her about an actor who inspires her, and Kirti says, “I wish I could be like Meryl Streep. Age is really no bar for her.”
