Irrfan Khan has taken to singing, sends me song recordings, Vishal Bhardwaj reveals
Vishal Bhardwaj has said he is in touch with Irrfan Khan and revealed that the actor records songs and sends them as voice messages.
National award-winning actor Irrfan Khan, who has ben recuperating from neuroendocrine tumour in London for past few months, has proved he is a warrior for life - the man has ben sharing inspiring messages and lively photos from the UK and filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj has now said he plans to begin work on his next soon.
Bhardwaj had halted shoot for his next starring Irrfan and Deepika Padukone, saying he would rather wait for the Paan Singh Tomar star than change his cast. “Irrfan is in touch with me. It is great that he is recovering and I pray for his speedy recovery. I hope he comes back soon and starts working in films again. I keep talking to him, these days he is sending me voice note by recording songs in his own voice. He is watching cricket too,” Vishal told the media.
He was speaking at the song launch of legendary singer Hariharan’s single Afsaane.
Recently, the actor changed his display picture and fans noticed how happy, although slightly weak, he looked in it. He sported a yellow T-shirt with earphones around his neck and a big smile on his face.

The filmmaker has worked with Irrfan in films like Maqbool, 7 Khoon Maaf, Haider, Talvar among others. Earlier this year Vishal announced he would collaborate with the actor again.
Asked about if he is planning to reschedule his film where he planned to cast Irrfan and Deepika Padukone together but got postponed due to the actor’s ill-health, he said that “as soon as Irrfan recovers and come back, we will start our shooting for the film”.
Irrfan shocked an entire country with his diagnosis in March. “Life is under no obligation to give us what we expect: Margaret Mitchell. The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Tumour as of now has now has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope. The journey of this is taking me out of the country, and I request everyone to continue sending their wishes. As for the rumours that were floated NEURO is not always about the brain and googling is the easiest way to do research :-) To those who waited for my words, I hope to be back with more stories to tell,” he wrote in a tweet.
Last month, Irrfan shared an open letter, talking about his experience of struggles with fighting cancer.
