Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor attended the rehearsals for National Film Award presentation with father Boney. Sridevi will be conferred with Best Actress award posthumously for MOM today.
Film personalities, including Sridevi’s daughters Khushi Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor, along with their dad Boney, attended the rehearsals for National Film Awards on Wednesday. Janhvi, Khushi and Boney will be accepting National Film Award for Best Actress on behalf of late actor Sridevi on Thursday afternoon at Vigyan Bhawan. President Ram Nath Kovind, Union minister for Information & Broadcasting Smriti Irani and minister of state Rajyavardhan Rathore will confer the awards on the winners. The winners also attended a rehearsal of the presentation ceremony on Wednesday where Irani met them.

A government official, who requested not to be named, told Hindustan Times that President Kovind will present only 11 of 137 awards, due to his packed schedule and the rest will be conferred by Irani and Rathore.

While late actor Sridevi was honoured with the Best Actress Award for her performance in Mom, Vinod Khanna was posthumously awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Baahubali The Conclusion has been given the Best Popular Film award and Riddhi Sen got the best actor award for his Bengali film Nagarkirtan.

Jayaraj was announced as the winner of Best Director Award for the Malayalam film Bhayanakam. Baahubali: The Conclusion bagged several awards including the best popular film providing wholesome entertainment.
The awards were announced on April 13 by a 10-member jury that was headed by filmmaker Shekhar Kapur.
