Jeff Goldblum believes Priyanshu Chatterjee looks better than him. Here’s Priyanshu’s reaction
Actor Priyanshu Chatterjee cannot believe his luck! Jeff Goldblum, during a British talk show, said that the Indian actor looks better than him.
Hollywood star Jeff Goldblum may not be aware of his fan following in India, but his comments on a British talk show, about actor Priyanshu Chatterjee, certainly made the day for the 45-year-old actor, who has acted in films such as Tum Bin (2001) and Pinjar (2003).
Goldblum appeared in the recently aired episode of The Graham Norton Show to promote his upcoming film, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. During the show, host Graham Norton asked Goldblum if he was bothered by his fans or people coming up to him saying that they look a lot like him. And then, the host proceeded to show a slideshow of people who have claimed to look like the actor. One of the many was a collage of Priyanshu and Jeff, when the latter was a lot younger than he is now.
Goldblum reacted to the photo and said, “Now wait a minute! That guy looks like a heart throb from the ’50s. He looks pretty fantastic to me. He looks much better than me!”
When we got in touch with Priyanshu, he clarified that he never put up any photo on the Internet, and couldn’t believe what was said about him. He was happy, of course. “Wow! This news has just made my day. I never knew that a photo like that existed, and I’ve never even posted anything like that on social media. So, I’m thrilled on two levels. The first level being that people think that I look like him. The second level being Jeff himself, whom I have idolised all my life and practically grown up watching his films, saying that I look better than him. I am sure he was trying to be humble. But still it’s a great compliment,” says Priyanshu.
