Finally, Kareena Kapoor’s date with Madame Tussauds is confirmed. The actor’s wax statute will be unveiled on October 27 in Blackpool, UK, followed by a London sojourn the next day. As a result, she will miss the Toronto premiere of RA.One, which falls on the same day. "Aamir is also coming to London to shoot a part of our film, Dhuaan, and I have to be there because it was a prior commitment. Shah Rukh (her RA.One co-star) also feels that my presence at the Dubai and London premieres is more than enough," she insists.



Not many know Kareena got the unveiling date postponed due to the demise of boyfriend Saif Ali Khan’s father and legendary cricketer Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi. "They wanted it to take place sooner, but then Saif’s father passed away. So I wrote saying I wouldn’t be able to do it before Diwali. It has worked out perfectly because now, the unveiling comes around RA.One’s release, and I will be in London for its premiere (on October 25)," says Kareena.

The unveiling of Bebo’s statue will kick-start a Bollywood exhibition, also featuring statues of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan among others, to six countries including Hong Kong and Thailand.



Earlier, the final dates were going back and forth because the actor wasn’t able to spare time since she was busy wrapping up Agent Vinod and other films. "Now, the statue is ready and they have, in fact, mailed pictures of it to me," says the actor.



Interestingly though, Saif is not going to accompany her because he will be shooting for Agent Vinod in Rajasthan. "My mother (Babita) and a close friend will be present," Kareena reveals, adding, "Karisma can’t accompany me because she is shooting (for Dangerous Ishq). She is busier than me nowadays. So, I have to take dates from her."



Although Kareena’s father (Randhir Kapoor) will miss the event since he’s attending a film festival in Moscow, she’s happy that her mother will be with her. "My mother has always encouraged me to take on different things. So, this one is for her," she says.



Niece wants wax Bebo

Karisma’s daughter Samaira was apparently thrilled when shown pictures of her aunt Kareena’s wax statue. "Her first reaction was, ‘can we get this (statue) home?’ So I said, ‘no, it’s going to be in the museum.’ But she couldn’t understand the connection," says Kareena.
