Producers of Murder 2 postponed the film’s success party due to the Mumbai bomb blasts.

The producers of Murder 2 cancelled the film’s success party due to the Mumbai bomb blasts. It was scheduled at the JW Marriott at 9 pm and the explosions happened just two hours prior. The entire cast of the film was supposed to be present. In fact Emraan Hasmi had flown down from Hyderabad, especially for the do.

Says Mahesh Bhatt, “At around 7 pm a journalist friend of mine told me that something had happened. When I called the joint commissioner of police Himanshu Roy, he said he would call back. His voice was grim. I understood this was something serious. I called up Mukesh (Bhatt) and told him something was brewing. So in keeping with the mood of the people, we decided to join the city in this moment of anguish and cancel the party.”
