It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Ranveer Singh had a rocking 2015. While both his film releases last year, Dil Dhadakne Do and Bajirao Mastani (BM), did well at the box office, he also bagged almost every Best Actor award this year for his performances. But the actor says he will never let success go to his head.

“I have got several awards this year, and it feels wonderful to get that validation for the work that you have put in. I also recognise the change in the way people interact with me now. I’m quite objective about this change,” says Ranveer. (Abheet Gidwani)

“At the same time, I know better than to not take all the hype seriously. I’m thankful for BM’s success, but now I am only looking forward to what I’m going to do next. I am only looking forward to how much I’m going to grow as an actor, and explore my range and abilities as an artiste,” he added.

Even though he had a busy 2015, Ranveer has no plans of taking any long breaks, and is only focused about keeping himself busy with work -- be it ads or films. (Yogen Shah)

Even though he had a busy 2015, Ranveer has no plans of taking any long breaks, and is only focused about keeping himself busy with work -- be it ads or films. “I just want to keep working hard, and I’m happy that more work is coming in. I’ve always wanted to do more work. I’m going through a happy phase,” says the 30-year-old, who is currently shooting for his next, which is being directed by Aditya Chopra.

“I’m really enjoying my work. Whether it’s a live performance, an ad shoot, a photo shoot, or prepping for a film… everything that I’m doing, I’m really enjoying,” says Ranveer. What makes the star happier is to see his parents feel proud of him. “My parents are happy and proud with the way things have been in the past few months. And that’s the one thing I live for and work for. I just want to see them happy,” says the actor.
