Actor Jackky Bhagnani, who was seen in films like F.A.L.T.U and Ajab Gazabb Love, says his role in Rangrezz is different from the earlier ones and that director Priyadarshan wasn’t sure whether he could pull it off.

“The first 10 days were tough, as it has nothing to do with anything that I have played or experienced before. But there was always a complaint that I am doing films closer to me, not venturing out. I hope that won’t be the case anymore,” he says.

In the film, Jackky plays a boy from a chawl. He says initially Priyadarshan was not very confident if he would fit into the role.

“When the role was being conceptualised, that was the biggest question mark.

I am playing a guy from chawls.

Priyadarshan sir didn’t know if I would be able to pull it off or not,” he says.

But the 28-year-old seems to be content with his performance.

“It was good.We are very happy. I am sure the audience will like it too,” he says.

Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Rangrezz also features actors Priya Anand, Rajpal Yadav and Amitosh Nagpal. It will hit theatres March 21.
