No need for apology: Salman Khan tells Mahesh Bhatt
Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt had issued an apology for not being able to stop daughter Alia Bhatt from performing at the Saifai Mahotsav, saying he had 'failed as a father'. Salman Khan, who was also amongst the performers, reacts on Twitter.
A day after filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt issued an apology for not being able to stop daughter Alia Bhatt from performing at the Saifai Mahotsav, saying he had 'failed as a father', Salman Khan, who was also amongst the performers, says Bhatt needn't be apologetic about his daughter's "upbringing".

Alia's sister, Pooja Bhatt also took to her father's defense and said that he had "not failed as a father".
"Mahesh Bhatt, you have not failed as a father. Alia needs representation that has a far more sensitised and astute world view. End of story," Pooja tweeted on Saturday.
Bollywood stars who performed at the event and
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav
have been criticised for spending money on the actors while this could have been used for the relief and rehabilitation of the Muzaffarnagar riot victims.
The
was organised in the native village of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and he was present there during the Bollywood performances along with son and UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav.
The event took place barely 300km from the Muzaffarnagar relief camps where children of helpless riots victims have been dying of the cold. As a development, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, who was supposed to watch the premiere of Dedh Ishqiya along with Madhuri Dixit, cancelled the event on Friday.
The other celebrities who performed in the festival included Madhuri Dixit, Ranveer Singh, Mallika Sherawat, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Remo, Sajid Wajid and Hard Kaur.
While Bollywood badshaah Shah Rukh Khan came out
clearly in support of Saifai performance
of actors, there were voices that were not in agreement.
Sharmila Tagore called it a 'mess' while
and termed her performance a 'mistake'.
