Denying reports that he will play Alia Bhatt's dad in Vikas Bahl's next, filmmaker-turned-actor Karan says, "No, I’m not doing the film. I think only once Bombay Velvet releases should people decide on offering me more films."
later this year, but film-maker Karan Johar already has more offers to star in films.
Of late, talks have been rife that he had been approached to play Alia Bhatt’s father — a Sindhi businessman — in Vikas Bahl’s next, which also stars Shahid Kapoor.
The latest reports suggest that after he turned down the offer the first time, the makers went back to him a second time. However, Karan clarifies the rumours, saying, "No, I’m not doing the film. I was briefly in talks (about the role) at a very initial stage. I am sure when the cast for Vikas’s film is announced, it will be a terrific one, but I am not a part of it. I think only once Bombay Velvet releases should people decide on offering me more films. I don’t think anybody should take a chance till then."
Interestingly, the same role was also offered to another director, Sajid Khan, but he also turned it down since he is busy working on his next film.
