Prem Ratan Dhan Payo: It’s a box office storm
Directed by Sooraj R Barjatya, PRDP marks Salman’s return to the Rajshri camp after a gap of 16 years.
Never underestimate the power of Salman Khan’s fans. Bollywood’s newest ‘sanskari’ dude ends 2015, without doubt one of the best years for him, with yet another blockbuster: Reports suggest that Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo opened to a storm on the ticket windows on Friday, collecting a whopping Rs 40 crore on the first day. This figure, mind you, does not include the film’s business in Telugu and Tamil, two big markets in the Indian film industry.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the film’s opening day business on Thursday.
Directed by Sooraj R Barjatya, PRDP marks Salman’s return to the Rajshri camp after a gap of 16 years. The film features Khan in a double role. Despite mixed reviews, fans are flocking to the theatres, and that gives an indication of what to expect from it in the coming days. Also, the film has been released on a record number of screens.
PRDP also features Sonam Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Armaan Kohli in pivotal roles.
Salman Khan is now gearing up for his 2016 film Sultan.
