Salman Khan has posted yet another win as Race 3 box office collection refuses to flag in the face of poor reviews, internet trolling or weekdays. After an impressive Monday collection of Rs 14.24 crore, Race 3 took a slight dip and has now earned Rs 12.05 crore on Tuesday, a statement from the producers claimed. Directed by Remo D’Souza, the film has a total collection of Rs 132.76 crore in five days of the release.

Starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Saqib Saleem and Daisy Shah in main roles, the film is third in the Race franchise. It has already broken records, becoming the highest opener and second highest weekend opener for 2018. Race 3 opened to Rs 29.17 crore collections on Friday and made a weekend collection of Rs 106.47 crore.

Despite being widely panned by the critics, the film crossed Rs 100-crore mark at the box office in its opening weekend - the fourth Salman film to do so after Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Reacting to the negative reviews that the film got, Bobby Deol told PTI on Wednesday, “I am very happy that people have appreciated my work and appreciated everyone’s work. We keep getting criticism. It matters when the film is really bad and if this was so bad, it wouldn’t have worked commercially.”

“People have given so much love to the film and accepted it wholeheartedly. Touchwood! I just want to keep doing more such films and people keep liking my work. Everybody is happy. The film is doing good business. What else do we want?” he added.
