Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is sweating it out in the gym to get his look right for Rohit Shetty’s next film, Simmba. His trainer Lloyd Stevens has posted Ranveer’s photo on Instagram. He wrote alongside, “Safe to say Inspector #Simmba is putting on some decent muscle mass.”

After playing the role of Khilji in Padmaavat, Ranveer had undergone yet another transformation for Gully Boy. The dramatic shift had left his fans shocked. Simmba is his next after Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy.

Simmba is loosely based on Telugu star Jr NTR’s Temper. Explaining the difference, Rohit had earlier said, “We have bought the rights of Temper but our film is not exactly a remake. We wanted to take four-five scenes from Temper, but we thought it’s better to buy the rights. It’s what we did with Singham.”

In an interview with IANS, Ranveer couldn’t hide his excitement of working with Rohit Shetty in Simmba. He said, “I feel like I have been honest with my work and I have actually earned the distinction of being Rohit Shetty leading man. I am very excited about that. The kind of films I grew up too and the kind of film that reaches out to a broad spectrum of audience, I am very lucky to have that film coming up.”

Simmba is likely to be the Bollywood debut of Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara. Though she is working in director Abhishek Sharma’s Kedarnath as well, but the makers are not yet sure about the film’s release date.

Ranveer Singh is currently working in three films. He is playing a street singing sensation in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. Apart from Gully Boy and Simmba, he will also be seen in Kabir Khan’s film based on India’s unexpected win at the cricket world cup of 1983. He is playing team’s captain Kapil Dev in the film.
