The one film that has everyone excited is Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju. The first look, posters, trailer and songs from the film has actually created quite a buzz. Now a new still is out and it shows Ranbir as Sanju, his best friend played by Vicky Kaushal and Karishma Tanna in a rather peppy mood.

The still shows the trio in close focus—all three have a broad smile on their faces. All are wearing sun glasses in what appears to be indoors atmosphere. Karishma is dressed in Indian finery while Vicky wears a bright reddish-maroon sherwani. Ranbir is in what appears to western wear. It seems to be from the new song expected to come out soon.

There were reports that Karisma Tanna would play Madhuri Dixit in the biopic. However, it was later revealed that Sonam Kapoor’s character is an amalgamation of Sanjay’s love interests at the beginning of his career.

Sanju, the official biopic of actor Sanjay Dutt, is being dubbed as a father-son relationship film. Paresh Rawal plays Sunil Dutt. Many stills and video clip shared by the makers of the film, display Sanjay’s dependence and conflict with his late father. The film, reportedly, will take the viewers from all the dark phases in Sanjay’s life -- drugs, mother late Nargis’ death, run-ins with law, etc.

The film boasts of a sizable star cast including the likes of Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Vicky Kaushal, Anushka Sharma and Jim Sarbh. It is a Vidhu Vinod Chopra film and is expected to hit the screens on June 29.
