While actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s pop purple lip colour during an appearance at the 69th Cannes Film Festival received mixed reactions from both her fans and the fashion police, her husband Abhishek Bachchan couldn’t stop gushing over her “fantastic” look.

Aishwarya’s choice of lip colour turned out to be a head turner at the red carpet, but her look was trolled widely on social media. She paired it with an embellished light pink Rami Kadi dress.

Aishwarya, whose forthcoming film Sarbjit was showcased at the gala, attended the fest for the 15th year as brand ambassador of a cosmetic giant.
