Sonam Kapoor calls meat ban misogynistic, gets trolled

Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor shared a news article from her Twitter handle on Wednesday and didn’t realise that it would turn into such a sour experience for her with hate pouring in from all sides.

Kapoor posted a piece on how Twitter has reacted to a four-day meat ban in Mumbai owing to the Jain fasting season of Paryushan. However, Kapoor captioned the post with something unusual: “Our country is going to remain a 3rd world nation because of the intolerant misogynistic close minded few.” This left a lot of people baffled as they couldn’t figure how meat ban can be misogynistic.

This confusion got some Twitter trolls working overtime to target the actor. Sonam tried hard to make people understand what she wanted to convey but to no avail. The hate kept pouring in, making Sonam snap. She then started swearing and calling people “a**holes, morons” on Twitter.
