Sunny Deol pays tribute to dad Dharmendra in Ghayal Once Again
Sunny Deol will pay a tribute to his father in his upcoming film, Ghayal Once Again.
Sunny Deol idolises his father, veteran actor Dharmendra. Now, we have come to know that in the sequel to his 1990 hit, Ghayal, the actor will pay tribute to his dad. “Sunny runs a newspaper in the film. And to pay tribute to his dad, he has named the paper Satyakam (after one of Dharmendra’s popular films). As Satyakam (1969) was the story of an idealist from the post-Independence era, the paper will also function on similar lines in the movie,” says a source close to the actor.

Sunny says that his father is impressed with how the film is shaping up. “Dad was really happy when I mentioned the newspaper’s name to him. In fact, when he watched a few rushes of the movie, he was happy with how we have worked things around. He knew that Satyakam was one of my favourite films. I loved dad’s performance in it,” says Sunny. He adds that he “loves the ’60s and ’70s eras”, as the scripts of the films used to be “deep”, and the movies were made by “very good directors”.
