Sushant Singh Rajput to star in Shekhar Kapur’s Paani

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput will reportedly star in Paani, Shekhar Kapur's next project. Kapur and Yash Raj Films will co- produce the film, which is set in the future, at a time when water wars have broken out.

High on the success of two back-to-back releases, Sushant Singh Rajput may have more to smile about.



Reliable sources reveal that the young actor will star in Shekhar Kapur’s next, Paani. Earlier, Hrithik Roshan’s name had done the rounds for the same role. Hollywood actor Kristen Stewart was also rumoured to be in consideration.



Kapur and Yash Raj Films will co- produce the film, which is set in the future, at a time when water wars have broken out. It will be shot in India as well as at multiple overseas locations, and will go on the floors in a few months.

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who has made a foothold in the industry with the success of his debut film Kai Po Che, says he never takes up work for commercial reasons and being a star is not on his mind.

Sushant became a household name with his portrayal as Manav in popular TV show Pavitra Rishta. But he quit small screen and entered Bollywood with the Abhishek Kapoor film which won him lot of accolades.

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput will be seen with two actresses in Shuddh Desi Romance, but he says creating 'romance' with veteran actor Rishi Kapoor was challenging for him.

"When I met both of them, they already knew and were ready to create that romance. But the real problem I had in creating romance was with Rishi Kapoor," the 28-year-old said. "It was toughest to create romance with Rishiji," he added.

Kissing on screen doesn’t seem to be a big deal anymore, at least for the new, young brigade of actors.
