Sushant Singh Rajput to train under Hollywood expert for his space film
Sushant Singh Rajput will train with Hollywood expert John Palmer, who designed the space suits for Matt Damon-starrer The Martian (2015); and has also worked on films such as Apollo 13 (1995) and Bridge of Spies (2015).
He is currently busy promoting his next film, Raabta, but as soon as the film hits theatres, Sushant Singh Rajput will start preparing for a project set in space, Chandamama Door Ke (CMDK). And to help with the production, the film’s makers have roped in Hollywood expert John Palmer, who designed the space suits for Matt Damon-starrer The Martian (2015). Palmer has also worked on films such as Apollo 13 (1995) and Bridge of Spies (2015).
For Chandamama Door Ke, Sushant Singh Rajput will undergo training at NASA.
Now, HT has learnt that Palmer won’t just design space suits, he’ll also help Sushant train for the film. “Once Raabta releases, Sushant will focus on CMDK. It’s a completely new space for any actor, so he will immerse himself in it and will have multiple training sessions to prepare,” says a source.

When contacted, Sushant said, “John has been working on space films for decades now, and he has designed a suit for us. Besides training at NASA, I will also have a chance to train with him, which would be really helpful considering the experience he has on the subject [films set in space] and his knowledge of astrophysics.”
