The Avengers now in hindi?
Film adaptation of comic book multi-starrer likely to have desi title track for Indian release, Strings, Euphoria shortlisted.
News of mega comic book The Avengers making it to the reel world delighted fans everywhere. And now, Indian followers have even more reason to celebrate.
Word is that the makers are interested in having a Hindi title song for the Indian release of the film. An insider reveals that they have shortlisted two bands Euphoria and Agnee from India, and Pakistani rock outfits Strings and Jal to compose and sing the soundtrack.
“They are looking for action songs, at par with the mood of the film,” reveals a production insider.
Apparently, the bands will be approached independently.
“The music composed by these bands will be sampled, and on the basis of that, they will decide which will finally compose the title track of the film. The final call will be taken in the next two weeks,” says the source.
While the spokesperson of the production house, Marvel Production, remained unavailable for comment, Euphoria’s bass guitarist Deb Jyoti Bhaduri says, “We would love to collaborate with such a big production house, but we haven’t been approached as yet.”
Strings has already worked on a big-budget Hollywood song, having released the soundtrack Na Jaane Kyun… for the film Spider-Man 2 in 2004.
The American superhero film, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, brings together various iconic characters like Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Captain America (Chris Evans) and Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson).
The Avengers is set to release in India on April 27, a week before it will hit theatres in the US on May 4.
