Karan Johar’s twins Yash and Roohi are celebrating their first birthday on Wednesday. To mark the occasion, doting father Karan took to social media to wish his little bundles of joy a happy birthday. The 45-year-old shared an adorable picture of the twins and wrote alongside, “I can’t thank the universe enough for giving my mother and me the most beautiful gift ever....Happy Birthday Roohi and Yash....you are a blessing to us”

The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil filmmaker proudly announced the birth of his twins in 2017. They were born via surrogacy.

He named his son after his late father Yash Johar and Roohi’s name is derived by rearranging the letters of his mother Hiroo Johar’s name. Reportedly, Karan plans an intimate party for them with B-Town kids including Taimur, Misha, Laksshya, Adira and others on the guest list. Speaking to DNA, the filmmaker said, In an interview to DNA, Karan said, “It’s a small birthday party at home, with just kids their age. I want to keep it simple and intimate this year.”
