Ajit Sinha’s directorial debut, Wah Taj, could have been actor Amrita Rao’s second film with actor Shreyas Talpade after their successful offering in Welcome To Sajjanpur (2008). But the makers are apparently irked with her unprofessional behaviour and have replaced her with actor Manjari Phadnis.

Apparently, sources close to the unit reveal that the producer and the director of the film narrated the script to Amrita, who was quite excited about the role initially.

It is believed that she even gave them the nod saying that she would do the film, adding that it was great to be cast opposite Shreyas after Welcome To Sajjanpur. However, while the makers were waiting for her to freeze her dates, Amrita tweeted saying she was not doing the film. The makers, on their part, took a swift decision and roped in Manjari for the role. The actor was also seen in 2008 hit Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na.

When contacted, producer Narendra Singh confirmed the news: “Yes, Manjari will star opposite Shreyas. It was quite unprofessional on Amrita’s part to have backed out.” Director Ajit Singh, tells us that the film, which was supposed to go on floors in April, has now been rescheduled to February. “Amrita insisted that we start filming in April, and we conceded. But since it would be too hot to shoot at the Taj Mahal (Agra) in summer, we have preponed the schedule.”
