Wait, what? Richa Chadha is making her singing debut?

The Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) actor is all set to croon in one of her upcoming projects.

Richa Chadha is the newest entrant to join the long list of actors who have turned singers. Bollywood actors such as Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra, Shraddha Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha have all lent their voices to songs - either for their films or some music videos. Not many know that Richa, who is a trained singer, was waiting for the right opportunity to come her way. So, when the makers of her next project asked her if she wanted to sing, she jumped at the opportunity.

A source reveals, “Richa recently finished shooting for Fukrey Returns, which will release sometime this year. The actor has already started working on her next in which she is all set to make her singing debut. Richa has taken music training in the past and wanted to do something about it. She is glad to get the chance to sing this soon, and has already started practising for the same. She will soon record the song.”

Though Richa isn’t allowed to reveal any details about her upcoming project, she does confirm the news. Richa says, “This will be the first time I’ll sing professionally, and I’m excited with the prospect of experiencing something new. This movie is going to be special for me. I am hoping that people like what we are putting together.”
