The title song of Udta Punjab, starring Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh is finally out. Interestingly, there is a slight change in the lyrics: While the audio version had a line saying ‘Powder ki Lineon ka rakhega kaun hisaab’, we hear it as ‘Barbaad raaton ka rakhega kaun hisaab’ in the video released on Friday. Did the CBFC have them change the lines?

Titled Ud daa Punjab, the song is filmed on Shahid Kapoor, who plays rockstar Tommy Singh in the film. The peppy number is written by Varun Grover and composed by Amit Trivedi. Vishal Dadlani has lent his voice for the high-tempo number that will definatley make you trip.

Alia Bhatt shared the song on Friday.

Watch Shahid Kapoor go crazy in Udta Punjab song

Directed by Abhishek Choubey, Udta Punjab deals with the problem of drug addiction among Punjab’s youth. Kareena Kapoor plays a doctor in the film, and Alia is a Bihari migrant who was a one-time hockey player forced to work in the fields after her father’s death in Punjab.
