Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Fan collected Rs 19.20 crore on its first day but the earnings dropped on Saturday to Rs 15.40 crore. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Fan declines in mass circuits, but remains strong at urban centres/plexes. Fri 19.20 cr, Sat 15.40 cr. Total: 34.60 cr. India biz.”
The film traces an obsessive fan Gaurav Channa whose ‘pure love’ changes into hatred when his idol and superstar Aryan Khanna refuses to acknowledge him. SRK plays both Aryan and Gaurav in the film that is being widely appreciated for Khan’s portrayal of the creepy fan.
