Why Katrina refused to go negative for Krrish 2

Katrina Kaif who was quite excited about taking up Krissh 2 opposite Hrithik Roshan could not say yes to the project.

The actress had to turn down the offer as her dates were clashing with Yash Chopra's next venture opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Also both Chopra and Roshan wished to go on floors with their respective films by October 2011.

A source told Mumbai Mirror, “Katrina very much wanted to do Krrish 2. She loved the fact that she would be playing a negative role for the first time in her career. The mutant’s role has several shades which Katrina wanted to toy with.”

After Katrina's refusal, Rakesh Roshan signed Chitrangada Singh for the mutant's role.

Rakesh Roshan however said, “I haven’t finalised the casting of Krrish 2. I am still working on the script.”
