Mark Mobius announces plans for EM fund, joins India-based Equanimity

Investment guru Mark Mobius said he is starting a fund management firm which will invest in emerging and frontier market companies focused on ESG ideas

Investment guru Mark Mobius said on Monday he is starting a fund management firm which will invest in emerging and frontier market companies focused on environmental, social and governance (ESG) ideas.

The fund will be an open-ended long-only one.

The fund management firm will be Luxembourg- and London-based.

Mobius has also joined Mumbai-based Equanimity Investments’s investment committee, where he has been an investor, along with managing partner Rajesh Sehgal.

India-based Equanimity is a venture capital fund that invests in early-stage businesses.

Equanimity is a sector-agnostic fund which invests in early-stage companies, which use technology as their backbone.
