NEW DELHI: India’s domestic air passenger traffic grew by 22.52% in the first half of 2016 with airlines carrying 475.79 lakh passengers during January-June as against 388.33 lakh during the corresponding period of previous year. Traffic grew by nearly 21% in June as compared to the same period a year ago. IndiGo continued its domination of the domestic market with a market share of 37.9% in June followed by Jet Airways (19.1%) and Air India (15.5%). Vistara had the best on-time performance 86.5% while SpiceJet had the highest load factor of 93%.
