Being Human is Khan’s charitable foundation, whose line of T-shirts is popular among the youth.

It plans to open 150 such stores by 2014, of which 50 will be company-owned while the rest will be franchisee-owned. Mandhana launched Being Human stores in West Asia markets last August.

“This initiative will add substantially to our topline even as we see substantial growth in our bottomline over the next few years,” said Manish Mandhana, MD, Mandhana Industries.

The company has seen its sales and profit more than double over the last five years to Rs. 1,300 crore and Rs. 100 crore respectively.

Mandhana will launch the brand tees, trousers, jeans and accessories. The sale proceeds will go to the foundation, which works for education and health initiatives of the underprivileged.

The company also looks at setting up 1,000 touch points across India.
