Bharti to announce acquisition by Mar

Bharti Tele said it also plans to invest Rs 6 bn in the states where it has applied for new licences.

Mobile services provider, Bharti Tele-Ventures Ltd said on Thursday it could announce an acquisition by March and it would invest about Rs 6 billion in states where it has applied for new licences.

"Lots of bankers have spoken to us and by March you will see some action on acquisitions," Bharti Tele-Ventures chairman Sunil Mittal told reporters.

He said Bharti would exceed its target of six million cellular customers by March 2004.
