BSE Sensex extends gains to 6 pct on day
At 2:15 pm, the 30-share index is up 1,003.6 pts at 18,225.32, with all its components gaining, having risen as much as 6% to 18,255.71.

Indian shares extended their rise to 6 per cent on Friday afternoon, enthused by stronger global equity markets, with ICICI Bank, Larsen & Toubro Ltd and Reliance Industries leading the gains.
At 2:15 pm, the 30-share BSE index was up 5.83 per cent, or 1,003.6 points, at 18,225.32, with all its components gaining, having risen as much as 6 per cent to 18,255.71.
The 50-issue NSE index was up 5.87 per cent at 5,328.75.
