Green wheels get a thumbs-up

A survey of over 3,100 consumers across Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Russia, the UK and the US shows that green vehicles continue to sell well everywhere.

A survey of over 3,100 consumers across Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Russia, the UK and the US shows that green vehicles continue to sell well everywhere.

41 per cent of the users polled own a fuel-efficient or alternative-fuel vehicle, up from 36 per cent last year, and 30 per cent plan to buy one. The primary reasons consumers are shifting their preference in favour of alternative fuel vehicles are fuel economy and environmental impact. However, the factors that influence the buying decision — reliability, safety, fuel economy and price — remain the same with previous years.
