HT Media revenues rise 5% to Rs. 650 cr in Q3

HT Media on Friday reported a 5% year-on-year rise in total revenues to Rs. 649.9 crore for the third quarter ended December 2014, against Rs. 617 crore a year ago.

HT Media on Friday reported a 5% year-on-year rise in total revenues to Rs. 649.9 crore for the third quarter ended December 2014, against Rs. 617 crore a year ago.

The company’s profit after tax stood at Rs. 73.9 crore during the quarter under review against Rs. 74.7 crore in the previous year.

Advertising revenues of the company grew by 4% during the October-December quarter to Rs. 496.7 crore, against Rs. 478.3 crore in the year-ago period. Circulation revenues increased by 10% to Rs. 73.4 crore against Rs. 66.5 crore during the same period in 2013.

“We are happy to report revenue growth across all our core businesses on the back of higher advertising in the festive season,” said Shobhana Bhartia, chairperson and editorial director, HT Media.

Revenues from the digital segment registered a 36% increase to Rs. 26.7 crore during the quarter under review against Rs. 19.5 crore in the same period last year.
