Indian markets closed on Friday for holiday

Indian bond and currency markets are closed on Friday for Diwali, while stock markets will be open for a one-hour special trading session between 6 pm-7 pm.

Normal trading resumes on Monday.



On Thursday, the benchmark 30-share index BSE ended down 1.2 per cent or 230.90 points at 19,058.93, with 22 components in the negative zone, after sliding nearly 2 per cent at one stage.



The 10-year bond yield ended at 7.93 per cent on Thursday, above Wednesday's close of 7.90 per cent.



The partially convertible rupee ended at 39.325/335 per dollar, lower from 39.30/31 at Wednesday's close.
