Inflation declines to 5.06 per cent, says Chidambaram

Wholesale price inflation declines to 5.06 per cent in the 12 months to May 19 from an annual rate of 5.27 per cent a week earlier.

Finance Minister Palaniappan Chidambaram said on Thursday that wholesale price inflation had declined to 5.06 per cent in the 12 months to May 19 from an annual rate of 5.27 per cent a week earlier.

The government will release the inflation report for May 19 on Friday.
