The 165-km Yamuna Expressway, aligned along the northern bank of river Yamuna, connects Noida and Agra. Ganga Expressway entails paving a 1,047-km six-lane highway along river Ganga connecting Greater Noida to Ballia in eastern UP. In a bid to fast-track the Rs 10,000 crore Yamuna project, JIL seeks to raise Rs 1,650 crore through IPO expected to be floated in March. JIL is the infrastructure wing of the Rs 7,000 crore Jaypee Group.

“The work on Yamuna Expressway is something the country has never seen before. We had by October last year spent over Rs 5,300 crore to finish 32 per cent of the project. We expect it to be completed by early 2011,” said Suren Jain, MD, Jaypee Group.
