NEW DELHI: The government is replicating the banking gyansangam model for taxation with a two-day Rajasva Gyansangam, beginning June 16.

In a first, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold an interactive session with officials of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and the Central Board of Excise & Customs (CBEC).
Earlier, the two wings of the tax department held separate conferences.
Besides Modi, author Chetan Bhagat and director-general of Quality Council of India, Adil Zainulbhai, will also take part in the conference. The Taxpayer Perception Survey for customs and excise will also be released at the event.
There will be a dedicated session with finance minister Arun Jaitley, who will be also be talking to over 400 officers from the CBDT and the CBEC.
