SC dismisses cross appeals on FM stations allotment

The SC has dismissed cross appeals from the Centre and Radio challenging a Delhi HC ruling that upheld Centre's decision to disqualify the media firm from operating FM stations in the country.

The Supreme Court has dismissed cross appeals from the Centre and Radio on Friday challenging a Delhi High Court ruling that upheld Centre's decision to disqualify the media firm from operating FM stations in the country.

Although the high court had also allowed Radio on Friday to make a fresh bid, a SC bench headed by Justice Ashok and universities," he said.

Noting that Americans have embraced Indian food, yoga, and South Asian culture, he said Indians too watch American television, listen to its music, and watch its movies. "Polls consistently show Indians with very high favourable views of America and vice versa."
