The Sensex was down by 52 points at 1015 hours today after getting off to a good start as negative cues from other Asian bourses dragged the benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange down.

Interest-rate sensitive realty stocks extended their recent losses over concerns that high interest costs and property prices may dent demand for residential units. However, Tata Motors edged higher ahead of the announcement of its Q3 results.
