The next Infosys | Flipkart the frontrunner

Flipkart, which was mentioned by almost every person polled by MintAsia for this story, has more than 10 million registered users and ships 130,000 items a day.

In 2007, when two friends, Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal, quit their jobs at Amazon.com Inc’s Chennai centre, their aim was to run a small online business, preferably from home. In November, this business, Flipkart.com, was valued at about Rs 9,900 crore, becoming India’s most valuable online retailer.
