US court says Cipla's pet product infringes patent

India's Cipla Ltd said on Thursday that it had received an order from a US court, ruling that sales of its animal healthcare product allegedly infringed a patent held by Merial Ltd.

Future sales of PetArmor Plus have been suspended in the United States, the company said in a statement, adding it is in the process of filing an appeal against the order.
